OFFICIALS PUT FINISHING TOUCHES ON CANADA 150 CELEBRATIONS: Officials in Ottawa are preparing for a flood of half a million people expected to jam the capital’s downtown for Canada Day on Saturday. The government is billing the celebration as the largest in Canadian history. There are also events planned in 19 cities and some 2,000 small communities. Streets around Parliament Hill have been blocked off by massive concrete barricades.
