Red Deer’s World Junior Championship schedule set

The next day, Slovakia will face Sweden at 2:30 p.m., and Germany will take on Finland at 7:30 p.m.

On Monday, Dec. 28, Slovakia will play the U.S. at 2:30 p.m. in Red Deer and on Tuesday, Finland will face the U.S. at 2:30 p.m., followed by Sweden and Germany at 7:30 p.m.

On Wednesday, Dec. 30, Germany will take on Slovakia at 4:30 p.m., and to wrap up preliminary action in Red Deer, Finland will play Slovakia at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 31, and the U.S. will play Sweden at 7:30 p.m.

Red Deer will then host a couple of the quarterfinal matchups on Saturday, Jan. 2, before the rest of the tournament moves exclusively to Edmonton.

The semifinals will then take place at Rogers Place on Jan. 4 and the medal games on Jan. 5.

Hockey Canada reports that over 80,000 fans signed up for the World Juniors 2027 Priority Draw for a chance to purchase tournament ticket packages and access a pre-sale for individual tickets that begins on Sept. 23. Limited individual tickets will go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. MT on Sept. 25 at HockeyCanada.ca/Tickets.

Finally, a list of communities that will host pre-tournament games, along with the Road to the World Juniors pre-tournament schedule, will be announced in the coming months.
