Red Deer house sales increase in June

The total number of house sales in Red Deer increased in June.

According to the latest market update by the Central Alberta Realtors Association, there were 192 houses sold in June, up from the 161 sold in May and down from the 173 sold in June 2025.

The year-to-date numbers show there have been 868 house sales in Red Deer through the first six months of 2026, compared to 909 during the same period last year.

Meanwhile, the average sale price in Red Deer in June was $434,096, up from the $403,024 reported in May. In June 2025, the average sale price was $401,676.

The average number of days to sell in Red Deer in June was 34 days, which is up slightly from the 33 days reported in May. In June 2025, the average days to sell were 30.

In central Alberta, there were 548 home sales in June, up from the 506 reported in May and down from the 564 sold in June 2025.

Year-to-date numbers in central Alberta show there have been 2,485 home sales in the region six months into 2026. This is an overall decrease compared to the 2,731 reported in the same time frame last year.

The average sale price for a home in central Alberta was $444,659 in June, a decrease compared to the $451,096 in June 2025 and an increase from $441,669 in May this year.

And the average days to sell in central Alberta in June were 47, compared to the 45 days reported in May.
