Crops advancing well in central Alberta, though yellowing in cereals reported as wet weather continues
Crops are advancing well, though there is yellowing in cereals and legumes in the Central Alberta region as cold and wet weather has continued.
That according to the latest Alberta Crop Report from Agriculture Financial Services Corporation (AFSC) and the Government of Alberta.
The report indicates there was also some hail reported in the southern part of the region.
Tame hay growth conditions (five-year average) are rated as zero (15) per cent poor, 13 (27) per cent fair, 82 (46) per cent good, and five (13) per cent excellent.
