Jun 11, 2026 | 5:02 PM

Central Alberta Chamber Orchestra PSA — The Central Alberta Chamber Orchestra (CACO) is thrilled to present Broadway Baby, an unforgettable afternoon celebrating the greatest music from the Broadway stage on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Gaetz Memorial United Church in Red Deer.

Featuring guest vocalists, a full chamber orchestra, and performances by talented young musicians from Central Alberta, Broadway Baby will transport audiences from the golden age of musical theatre to today’s blockbuster hits.

Concertgoers will enjoy beloved selections from iconic productions, including The Lion King and West Side Story, while witnessing the remarkable achievements of CACO’s high school intern musicians, who have worked alongside professional orchestra members through the organization’s mentorship and performance program.

“This concert celebrates both the timeless appeal of Broadway and the incredible musical talent that exists right here in Central Alberta,” says the Music Director Jim Bicigo.  “From the elegance of the Ziegfeld Follies to contemporary favourites, there is something for everyone.”

As a special Father’s Day promotion, audience members can bring Dad for free. Purchase one regular-priced ticket and receive a second ticket for Dad at no additional charge.

CACO is a not-for-profit organization made up entirely of local professional musicians. Through performances, educational opportunities, and community engagement, the orchestra is committed to enriching the cultural life of Central Alberta.
