Red Deer RCMP investigating armed robbery at liquor store

Jun 1, 2026 | 10:55 AM

Red Deer RCMP are searching for the man responsible for an armed robbery yesterday.

Police say the robbery took place at a liquor store at the East Hill Shopping Centre on May 31 at approximately 11:51 p.m.

Police were called to the business after a 911 call reported a robbery at the location. That day, Mounties say, a man allegedly entered the store with a gun and bear spray and demanded money from an employee.

The suspect, who was wearing a grey hoodie and dark pants, then fled on foot. No one was injured during the incident.

The Red Deer RCMP General Investigation Section is investigating the robbery and another robbery at the same location on May 24.

They are also investigating whether the two crimes are connected.
