Lacombe Police looking into vehicle thefts in Maple Bay and Par Court
Lacombe Police Service (LPS) is investigating two separate thefts from vehicles, said to have occurred overnight on April 16-17 in residential parts of the city.
Per LPS:
“In the first incident, police received a report of a theft from a vehicle parked in the area of Maple Bay. Sometime between approximately 11:30 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., an unknown suspect gained entry into the vehicle and stole various work-related items, including coveralls, gloves, work boots, a hard hat, and bags containing personal belongings and a laptop. The vehicle was also damaged during the incident, including all four tires being slashed and exterior damage consistent with forced entry. The total value of stolen items is estimated at approximately $4,500.
“In a second incident, police received a report of a theft from a work truck parked in a driveway in the area of Par Court. The theft occurred during similar overnight hours between midnight and 6:00 a.m. Welding cables, valued at approximately $1,000, were stolen from the vehicle.”
