Conditional sentence for former Red Deer man accused in alleged auto theft and re-vinning operation
One of six people charged following a year-long investigation into an alleged organized auto theft and re-vinning operation, has been given a two-year conditional sentence and 18 months of probation.
Michael Edward Labar, 49, formerly of Red Deer, was sentenced in Evansburg Court of Justice on April 13, 2026, and was also ordered to pay a $200 surcharge.
He was convicted on one count of trafficking in property obtained by crime, while seven other counts were withdrawn.
