UPDATE: RCMP say incident on Gaetz Avenue, north of 55 Street, now over

UPDATE:

RCMP say as of 3:20 p.m., the incident is now over and normal traffic flow has resumed.

Red Deer RCMP say they are dealing with an incident on Gaetz Avenue, north of 55 Street and are asking the public to avoid the area.

Police say drivers should use alternate routes of travel as a result of the road closure.

An update will be sent once the area reopens for travel.
