Red Deer Vipers and Sylvan Lake Wranglers meet in HJHL North Division Finals

The matchup in the Heritage Junior B Hockey League North Division Finals has been set.

The Red Deer Vipers and Sylvan Lake Wranglers will face off with a trip to the league finals on the line.

The best-of-five series officially begins on Saturday, Feb. 28, at 8 p.m. in Red Deer at Servus Arena, followed by Game 2 on Sunday, March 1, at 6:15 p.m. in Sylvan Lake at the Nexsource Centre.

Game 3 will return to Red Deer on Tuesday, March 3, at 7:30 p.m. If needed, Game 4 will be played in Sylvan Lake on March 5 at 8 p.m., and Game 5 will be played in Red Deer on March 7 at 8 p.m.

The series features the two top teams of the regular season, with the winner moving on to play either the Medicine Hat Cubs or the Cochrane Generals in the HJHL Finals.

The Vipers made it to this point after defeating the Airdrie Techmation Thunder 3-1 in the best-of-five quarterfinals. In the meantime, the Wranglers overcame a tight series with the Mountainview Colts winning the deciding Game 5.
