Firefighters respond to blaze at Lacombe Bar and Steakhouse

Feb 17, 2026 | 4:08 PM

The Lacombe Bar and Steakhouse is temporarily closed following a fire at its location at 5038 Highway 2A in the city.

In an emailed statement from City of Lacombe Fire Chief Jason Fleming, he said crews responded to a report of smoke and flames at approximately 4:36 p.m. on Feb. 16, 2026, at the local business.

The initial call, he wrote, came from a passerby who observed smoke and visible flames coming from the building.

When crews arrived, they initiated an aggressive interior fire attack, as much of the fire was in the restaurant’s kitchen roof area. Fleming added that crews got the fire under control at approximately 5:16 p.m.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Meantime, in a post on its Facebook page, the Lacombe Bar and Steakhouse wanted to thank the community for their concern and for the fire department’s quick response.

“There was a fire in our building today, which has caused some damage and will require us to be closed temporarily until we can get everything cleaned up and safe to operate in again,” they wrote in the post published at 7:44 p.m. on Monday. “In the meantime, we will utilize Brunch Glory for our evening dinner service, with a limited steakhouse menu, in the coming days. Stay tuned for updates.”
