More than you Think

The Mustard Seed launches multi-year education campaign on homelessness

Jan 30, 2026 | 2:15 PM

The Mustard Seed is set to launch a three-year public education and awareness campaign on the complex realities of homelessness.

“More than you Think” will launch this month and challenge misconceptions about homelessness and form an understanding of the supports needed to create change.

“Homelessness is far more complex than most people realize,” said Philip Calvert, Chief Development Officer at The Mustard Seed, in a media release. “This campaign is about education as much as it is about action. Over the next three years, we’re inviting Canadians to better understand the realities people face and how long-term solutions are built through compassion, community, and coordinated care.”

The Mustard Seed says the campaign invites Canadians to recognize that homelessness is more than just about losing housing, but is caused by multiple challenges, including trauma, job loss, health concerns, and social isolation.
