Lacombe man wins big on Lotto Max

A Lacombe man is $333,333.40 richer following a win on the Dec. 2 Lotto Max draw.

Percy J. said he checked his ticket on the Lotto Spot app, and was stunned when he realized what had happened.

“I didn’t panic or anything, but I was shocked and surprised,” he told the WCLC. “I showed it to my sister and my nephew right away.”

Percy has been playing the lotto for decades, he added.

For now, it’ll go into a savings account, until he can decide what to do with it.

The winning ticket was purchased from the Co-op on 51 Street in Rimbey. He won the prize by matching one of the MaxMillions selections. Two other tickets in Ontario and Quebec did the same, hence the prize was split.
