Tickets still available for Young Farmer Summit in Red Deer

Farm Credit Canada is encouraging people to register early for its Young Farmer Summit in Red Deer next month.

The free event will take place at the Red Deer Resort & Casino from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 11.

The Young Farmer Summit is aimed at engaging the next generation of farmers, food manufacturers, and retailers. The summit is held not only in Red Deer but in communities across Canada.

Those who attend will hear from speakers who have experience in the industry. They’ll also have an opportunity to network with peers and learn more about the business side of the industry.

Some of the speakers include Evan Shout, Co-founder and Chief Financial Officer of Maverick Ag, Dr. Tom Deans, a renowned author and speaker specializing in family wealth transfers, and Sage Walker, a two-time Team Canada Olympian who grew up on her family’s cattle ranch in southern Alberta.
