The Red Deer Rebels announced a trio of roster moves on Thursday.

They’ve added two affiliated players to the roster, including forward Cash Arcand-Vandale and Owen DeWitt.

They’ve also released 20-year-old forward Arjun Bawa after he cleared Canadian Hockey League overage waivers.

Bawa rejoined the Rebels this season after he was traded by the club in 2023, and went on to score three goals and three assists in 22 games. He was selected by Red Deer in the second round of the 2020 WHL Prospects Draft.

“The Rebels thank Arjun for his hard work and dedication and wish him all the best going forward,” as written in the media release.

Meantime, Arcand-Vandale was selected by the Rebels in the second round, 30th overall in the 2024 WHL Prospects Draft.

The Saskatoon product appeared in one preseason game with the Rebels in September before he reported back to the U18 AAA Warman Wildcats. In 13 games this season, he has seven goals and 11 assists for 18 points.

Finally, DeWitt joins Red Deer after suiting up in 11 games in the Alberta Junior Hockey League with the Camrose Kodiaks. He’s notched five goals and two assists so far this season.

During the 2024-25 campaign, he split time between the Kodiaks and the Langley Rivermen of the BCHL with a combined 13 points in 40 games.
