County residents can participate by including their blue number when registering. County homes won’t appear on the map but will be included in the list of participants so citizens can enjoy your display.

“The Christmas Lights Tour is a stunning demonstration of dedication that residents put into their light displays each year. It provides a fantastic opportunity for community members to show off their beautifully decorated homes and offers a fun activity for all ages to enjoy,” said Ponoka Mayor Kevin Ferguson, in a press release Wednesday.

Decorated Homes Photo Contest

Take a photo of your festively decorated home and send it to communications@ponoka.ca by Sunday, Dec. 7. Voting will run on the Town of Ponoka’s Facebook page from Dec. 8-29. The winning home will be announced on Tuesday, Dec. 30 and awarded a prize.

Christmas Lights Tour Map

The tour map will be available starting in early December on:

• The Town of Ponoka’s website at Ponoka.ca/p/christmas-in-ponoka under ‘Ponoka’s Annual Christmas Lights Tour.’

• Social media (Facebook, X and Instagram) @TownofPonoka; and

• Paper copies will also be available at the Ponoka Aquaplex, Ponoka Arena Complex and at the Town Office on the second floor of the Ponoka Civic Centre.
