Innisfail RCMP’s annual Charity Checkstop set for Dec. 6

Nov 17, 2025 | 11:47 AM

The Innisfail RCMP’s annual Charity Checkstop is just under three weeks away.

On Dec. 6 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., RCMP members and volunteers will be set up on 50 Street between 48 and 49 Avenue accepting donations.

Police say the checkstop has been successful every year, noting last year they raised a total of $16,505.64 for local charities.

This year’s event will be accepting donations from traffic that is both eastbound and westbound. Vehicles not wishing to donate may proceed through without any difficulty.

The public is asked to donate new clothing, food, new toys, and cash that will be given to the Innisfail Food Bank, Innisfail Christmas Bureau and the Central Alberta Child Advocacy Centre.

“In this season of giving and celebrating, let’s provide as much help as we can to those less fortunate. Help donate and make this Christmas season a great one for everyone,” as written in the media release.

Any questions about the charity checkstop can be directed to the Innisfail RCMP or Cst. Nelson at 403-227-3342.
