Eight local not-for-profit organizations selected to receive grant from City of Red Deer

The City of Red Deer have provided eight local not-for-profit organizations with a total of $20,000 in one-time grant funding from the Community Culture Development Fund.

The fund has provided financial support to not-for-profit organizations that provide arts, culture, and heritage initiatives in Red Deer since 2000.

This year, over $98,000 was requested of the $20,000 in available funds, and 10 out of the 23 requests were approved.

The City says in the new year $20,000 will be available once again for the next intake of the Community Culture Development Fund.

The annual budget for this funding category has been fully expended; therefore, no applications will be accepted from now until the end of the year.
