Mayoral candidates forum and school board candidates Meet & Greet Wednesday night

Those who haven’t had a chance to hear from local municipal election candidates can choose from two events Wednesday night in Red Deer.

The Students Association of Red Deer Polytechnic is holding an on-campus mayoral candidates forum from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Margaret Parsons Theatre.

The event is open to students, faculty, and the general public. Questions for the candidates can be submitted online or in person at the event. Doors open at 4:30 p.m.

In the meantime, there will also be a Meet & Greet town hall for the candidates running in the election for school board positions.

The event, which is cohosted by the Red Deer & District Labour Council and the Council of Canadians, will take place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Gaetz Memorial United Church.
