The Town of Sylvan Lake is hosting a candidate information event this week.

The Sept. 10, 2025 gathering is for residents who wish to learn about running for mayor or councillor in the upcoming Oct. 20 municipal election.

It will go over:

• Important details required for applying
• Time commitments
• Included duties
• Jurisdiction
• Boards and Committees
• Important Dates

The event runs 6-7:30 p.m. at the Municipal Government Building (town hall).
