Central Alberta golfers make some noise at Canadian Junior Girls Championship

Red Deer’s Eileen Park finished tied for seventh at the 2025 Canadian Junior Girls Championship.

She shot nine over-par over the span of the four-round tournament that featured the top junior girl golfers in the country from Aug. 13-16 at Club de golf Sainte Marie in Sainte-Marie, Que.

Park had previously won the Canadian Junior Girls Championship back in 2023 at Hampton Golf Club in New Brunswick. Two years ago, she shot four under par.

This time around the 16-year-old finished with 72, 74, 78, and 73 rounds to complete the tournament within the top 10.

Shauna Liu from Maple, Ont. won her second straight Canadian Junior Girls Championship at 10 under-par, just four strokes ahead of Vancouver’s Ruihan Kendria Wang.
