Groups can again apply for Alberta Restorative Justice Grant

Applications are now open for the Alberta Restorative Justice Grant.

This fiscal year, there is $720,000 available to supports initiatives which seek to hold offenders accountable and repair relationships damaged by crime outside the formal court system.

According to the Government of Alberta, funding will be awarded to eligible applicants, including municipalities, community-based coalitions, registered non-profit organizations, First Nation and Métis communities, and youth justice committees.

Individual grants of up to $50,000 are available and applications will be accepted until Aug. 25.

In 2024-25, the Alberta Restorative Justice Grant funded 22 programs throughout the province.
