Crash in Gasoline Alley sends one to hospital

One person was sent to hospital following a scary crash Monday afternoon in Gasoline Alley.

Alberta RCMP say the two-vehicle collision occurred at around 6:20 p.m. at the intersection of Laura Avenue and Lake Street.

Preliminary investigation suggests a brown Suzuki XL-7 failed to proceed into the intersection when safe, and then collided with a Ford Flex, according to Cpl. Troy Savinkoff.

The Suzuki ended up on its side, on the side of the road.

The Suzuki’s driver, a 53-year-old man, was given a ticket under the Traffic Safety Act, and was not believed to be injured.
