Crash near Carstairs claims one life over weekend

Sadly, one person is dead following a weekend motor vehicle collision near Carstairs.

On Saturday (July 26), around 6 a.m., Didsbury and Airdrie RCMP responded to a single-vehicle crash on the QEII Highway at Hwy 581.

Fire and EMS attended, and upon RCMP arrival, the lone occupant of the vehicle, a 53-year-old man from Calgary, had died.

The RCMP collision reconstructionist assisted and the cause of the collision is under investigation.
