Four Red Deer Rebels have made Central Scouting’s final rankings ahead of the 2025 NHL Draft.

Among North American skaters, forward Matthew Gard is ranked the highest at 37th, while Rebels teammates Luke Vlooswyk (D), Jaxon Fuder (F) and Derek Thurston (D), are ranked 72nd, 125th and 163rd, respectively.

Compared to the midterm rankings, Gard moved up from 42nd, Vlooswyk up from 109th, Fuder up from 170th, and Thurston up from 192nd.

The Rebels’ Ty Coupland had been listed 195th on January’s midterm rankings, but fell off for the final edition.

The Red Deer Rebels have had 68 players selected at the NHL Draft since the club’s inaugural season in the Western Hockey League in 1992-93.

The 2025 NHL Draft is happening June 27-28 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
