Sundre RCMP investigating damage to NDP election signs

The Sundre RCMP is turning to the public for help in finding those responsible to damaging election signs in and around the community.

Police say between April 9 and 11 they’ve received reports of mischief to federal elections signs of NDP candidates. This includes spray painting discriminatory slurs.

Damaging or stealing a candidate election sign is a criminal offence and in addition, hate motivated crimes could result in higher penalties during sentencing.
