Lids down: Sylvan Lake conducting sewer maintenance

The Town of Sylvan Lake is conducting annual sewer line maintenance until June 30, a process that can cause toilet gurgling.

While this process continues, the town asks residents to keep their toilet lids down to keep gurgles or splashes inside. It is also recommended to fill your p-traps with water to prevent sewer smells.

This maintenance work clears material that could cause backups or blockages, and ensures wastewater continues flowing to the treatment plant.
