Nominations now open for City of Red Deer’s Rising Sport Stars awards

The City of Red Deer is calling for nominations for the Rising Sport Stars awards program.
Nominations are submitted by different sports groups and the awards are presented annually. They are accepted through an online form and must be submitted before the noon deadline on April 21.
Through the Rising Sport Stars program, local athletes aged 12 years and younger who compete in a Red Deer sport organization are recognized for their commitment, passion, effort or for overcoming adversity to successfully participate and develop skills.
This year they’ll be presented at the Bower Sun Run on Saturday, May 10 at the Bower-Kin Community Centre. More information on the event will be reported closer to the event.
