Red Deer’s Cooper Moore named AJHL Rookie of the Week for Lloydminster Bobcats

For the second time this season, Lloydminster Bobcats forward and Red Deer native Cooper Moore, is the Inter Pipeline AJHL Rookie of the Week.

Moore extended his five-game point streak with five points (1G, 4A) in two games from Jan. 27– Feb. 2, 2025.

Moore scored the game winning goal and was selected as the Viterra AJHL Player of the Game on Jan. 31, as the Bobcats defeated the Olds Grizzlys 5-2. Moore recorded his second four-point game of his rookie season with a goal and three assists in the road victory. The 2006-born Bobcat also added an assist in a 5-1 loss to the Drayton Valley Thunder on Feb. 1.

Cooper Moore leads the Bobcats in scoring with 43 points (13G, 30A) in 35 games, ranking him second overall among AJHL rookies and tied for sixth in the AJHL Scoring Race. Moore has twice been selected as the Canalta Hotels AJHL Player of the Week in the 2024-25 season.
