AUPE to hold information picket near Red Deer hospital on Jan. 28

The Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE) will hold an information picket in Red Deer on Jan. 28.

The union says they will be out to expose the crisis facing Albertans with disabilities and those who care for them.

The AUPE notes there is a staffing crisis when it comes to the Family Support for Children with Disabilities (FSCD) and the Persons with Developmental Disabilities (PDD) programs.

“The government wants us to believe that the crisis in FSCD and PDD is over,” says Sandra Azocar, AUPE vice-president.
