Building permit values drop in December

The City of Red Deer reports that permit values decreased in the month of December 2024, with 36 permits valued at $1.9 million, compared with 63 permits issued in December 2023 worth $7.7 million.

Year-to-date values did remain higher through the end of 2024 however, with values at $130.6 million compared with $97 million in 2023.

Notable permits include:

  • Building permit for construction of a new detached single-family dwelling with attached garage at 93 Lundberg Crescent, valued at $177,775
  • Building permit for a new detached single-family dwelling with front attached garage at 80 Emmet Crescent, valued at $171,253
  • Building permit for construction of a new detached single-family dwelling with attached garage, developed basement and covered decks at 2 Tillier Street, valued at $169,748
  • Building permit for construction of a new detached single-family dwelling with front attached garage and rear deck at 66 Turnbull Crescent, valued at $165,525
  • Building permit for construction of a new detached single-family dwelling with developed basement, attached garage and partially covered deck at 38 Tarzwell Avenue, valued at $165,501
