Red Deer County highlighted the contributions made by members of protective services in the community at the inaugural Protective Services Awards Gala last week.

On Jan. 11 the County brought together members from all divisions of protective services, including Fire-Rescue, Emergency Management and Patrol.

The local heros were honoured for their dedication, bravery, and their ability to go above and beyond in the line of duty throughout the year of 2024.

“Tonight gives us the opportunity to truly recognize these professionals and their exceptional leadership, community engagement, and teamwork across all sectors of Protective Services. Thank you to every one of our members, their families, their friends, and their employers who support them in serving Bowden, Delburne, Elnora, and The County with an unwavering commitment to making our world a better and safer place.”
