Upgrades funded by provincial government coming to Red Deer Public Schools’ facilities
The Red Deer Public Schools board of trustees solidified the 2024-25 facility maintenance plan on Jan. 15, which has a number of projects to upgrade schools throughout the year.
The projects are completed using provincial grant funding from two separate sets of funding including the Infrastructure Maintenance and Renewal (IMR) and Capital Maintenance and Renewal (CMR) programs.
The IMR program presented will have a total of $1.3 million in projects and the CMR Program will total $1.7 million.
Some of the projects include new signage at Central Middle School which will cost $20,000. Upgrades to the art room at Eastview will cost $30,000 and hallway upgrades at Normandeau School will cost $57,540.
