Central Alberta Theatre presents thriller ‘Any Night’ from Jan. 17-26

Central Alberta Theatre (CAT) is gearing up to bring audiences Any Night, an award-winning Canadian thriller by Daniel Arnold and Medina Hahn.

And it poses the question to onlookers: Can you trust what you see, or even yourself?

Per CAT:

The story follows Anna, a modern dancer navigating the recent loss of her mother, as she moves into a new apartment searching for peace. Her budding connection with Patrick, the kind young man living upstairs, takes an unexpected and unsettling turn. As Anna’s night terrors and violent sleepwalking episodes worsen, she is drawn into a spiraling mystery that blurs the lines between dream and reality.

“As we navigate our way through a world of growing technology, while we are watching misogyny grow, we are all left vulnerable and forced to choose between a rose-coloured lie or the static-filled truth, a hazy dream or a rigid reality that those who preach protection may be the danger we swear to never allow into our lives,” says director Ronen Eagles.

Show times (upstairs at the Red Deer Memorial Centre):

  • January 17, 18, 24 & 25 @ 7:30 p.m.
  • January 19 & 26 @ 1:00 p.m. (Matinee)

Tickets are available on CAT’s website or through the CAT box office at 403-967-1769.

Bonus for show-goers: present your ticket at participating downtown restaurants for a 10 per cent discount on select menu items on the day of the performance. Visit CAT’s website for details.
