Ponoka starting Christmas tree pick up in January

The Town of Ponoka will begin picking up compostable Christmas trees on January 21, 2025.

The Town will make one pass down each back alley in Ponoka to pick up trees that have been placed outside for collection.

Residents are asked to have their tree outside and ready for pick up no later than Monday, January 20. Residents without a back alley can place trees near the curb at the front of their property; please ensure it is visible.

The Town notes weather conditions may delay the pick up as crews may need to divert their attention to snow and ice control.
