Red Deer’s Cooper Moore lighting up AJHL in November

A Red Deer product is setting the AJHL on fire this month.

Cooper Moore, a forward with the Lloydminster Bobcats, was announced Tuesday as the league’s player of the week, just seven days after being named rookie of the week.

Moore (2006) recorded two consecutive three-point games this weekend and extended his point streak to 11 points over four games.

He is third among AJHL rookies with 21 points (6 goals, 15 assists) in 20 games. That also puts him with the league’s top 15 point-getters so far this season.

Moore played for the Red Deer U18AAA Optimist Chiefs the last two seasons, notching 79 points in 68 games.
