Egg-citing activities at Red Deer libraries for World Egg Day
This Friday, Oct.11, residents are invited to the Red Deer libraries to celebrate World Egg Day and learn about Canadian eggs and egg farmers.
The Collicutt, Dawe, Downtown, and Timberlands Branches will have word searches and colouring activities available, plus an interactive trivia game intended to help Canadians learn more about local egg farmers and their work.
“World Egg Day is a celebration honouring eggs and their ability to unify people from all corners of the globe. To mark the occasion, Egg Farmers of Canada is shining a spotlight on the country’s more than 1,200 egg farmers and the work they do every day to produce fresh, local, high-quality eggs for Canadians to enjoy year-round,” said a spokesperson for the Egg Farmers of Canada.
For anyone that can’t make it in to the library, the activities can be downloaded and printed at home.
