One person has been arrested and charged following a police operation in Red Deer on Aug. 30.

Red Deer RCMP say it was that day the detachment received multiple calls about a man and woman with a firearm.

The calls described two people in a black car threatening and committing violence with a shotgun, in the words of police.

Police began searching for the suspects and the vehicle, and requested assistance from RCMP Air Services and the Emergency Response Team (ERT).

After several hours, police entered the home and located the suspect in a hidden crawl space within the house. The male was safely arrested and taken into custody.
