SEPT. 16 DEADLINE

Quest for the cover: Humane Society calling for pet calendar entries

Aug 26, 2024 | 10:25 AM

The Central Alberta Humane Society’s ‘Who Rescued Who’ pet calendar contest is back and the organization is calling for all proud pet parents to enter their rescue and support the organization.

The 2025 calendar will spotlight adopted animals and their stories for each of the 12 months. Every photo entry will be included on the collage page of the calendar, and each month is up for grabs as a feature spot.

The top eight entries with the highest number of votes, as well as four additional judged entries, will get the feature spots. Winners will receive, and must be available for, a pet photo shoot with Amy Cheng on October 1 in Red Deer.

Each photo entry is $10. Multiple entries are welcome, but the pet must be a rescue. The deadline for submissions and voting is 4:59 p.m. on September 16.

Through the contest page, a donation of $2 will give you one vote and anyone can participate in the voting process.

Participants may also reserve a calendar day to feature their pet, whether it is its birthday, adoption anniversary, or another significant date. Their pet’s photo will appear on that day, however reservations are first come first served. Each reservation is $10 and the final day to book is 4:59 p.m. on October 11.

The organization’s fundraising goal is $7,500.Full contest details, entries, and voting can be found here.
