Coffee with Council: Ponoka residents invited to share thoughts on Budget 2025

Ponoka residents are invited to join town council for a cup of coffee (or tea) and give their input and ideas on the 2025 Town of Ponoka Budget.

Coffee with Council will be held Thursday, August 22 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Community Registration and Job Fair at the Ponoka Arena Complex (4410 54 Street) in the curling rink.

Town officials ask that residents who attend fill out the Citizen Input Survey to offer their budget thoughts; this will ask about top priorities for consideration. More information on the budget process, as well as public engagement portal to share thoughts on other projects can be accessed at www.LetsTalkPonoka.ca.

Paper copies will also be available at the Coffee with Council event, Town Office, Ponoka Aquaplex, and Ponoka Arena Complex and can be dropped off at any of these facilities or the Ponoka Civic Centre, or mailed in to the Town.

Survey input will remain open until August 30, 2024.

Input that is collected from the Citizen Input Survey and from public feedback received during Coffee with Council events will be summarized and presented to town council for careful review and consideration during the 2025 Budget deliberation process.

Town council budget deliberations will be held on October 28 and 29, 2024 in Town Council Chambers on the third floor of the Ponoka Civic Centre. Budget deliberations are open to the public.

A summary of the citizen input received will also be shared with the public at www.LetsTalkPonoka.ca.
