"CELEBRATE THE BEAUTY OF OUR PARKS"

Town of Ponoka puts on park scavenger hunt

May 30, 2024 | 2:14 PM

The Town of Ponoka is holding a scavenger hunt throughout the month of June in celebration of Recreation and Parks Month across Canada.

Each week, the Town says it will share a clue on their website and social media platforms that hints at which park of the week residents need to find. Residents must solve the clue, visit the park, and take a photo of themselves enjoying the location.

Photos can then be submitted by direct messaging the Town via social media, commenting your photo onto the post, or emailing it directly to recreation@ponoka.ca.

Each photo submitted earns you an entry into the weekly draw of assorted prizes.

“June is the perfect time to get outdoors, get active, and celebrate the beauty of our parks in Ponoka,” says Ponoka Mayor Kevin Ferguson. “We hope everyone in Ponoka will join us in this month-long celebration.”

Recreation and Parks Month is a nationwide initiative aimed at encouraging Canadians to get out, get active, and enjoy the natural beauty of their parks.
