Vista Trail residential roadway closure in Blackfalds

The Town of Blackfalds will be closing the gravel portion of Vista Trail north of Valmont Street starting May 27 until further notice.

“The closure is a result of the exciting increased development in our community,” shared Director of Infrastructure and Planning Services Preston Weran, adding, “the road will soon undergo a permanent asphalt and concrete upgrade built by the developers in anticipation of a new multifamily community node. This is a positive step towards enhancing this neighbourhood for future growth.”

Detours will be available from Valmont St. to Westbrooke Rd and Aspen Lakes Blvd to Westbrooke Rd.

The closure will start on May 27 and is expected to continue throughout the summer.
