Olds RCMP investigating suspected arson

An investigation remains ongoing following a fire in Olds over the weekend.
On April 19, 2024, at approximately 10:30 p.m., Olds RCMP and Olds Fire Department responded to a structure fire at Olds Association for Community Living.
Upon arrival, Mounties say it was determined that the building had been unlawfully entered and there was a vehicle on fire in the garage. The Fire Investigator attended, and at this time, police say the fire is considered to be suspicious. The building was also spray painted.
RCMP note, a youth was located close to the scene, was detained and later released without charges.
