157 Units Sold In March

March brings a rise in Red Deer home sales

Red Deer home sales saw an increase in March when compared to the month before and the same month last year.

According to the latest Market Update from Central Alberta Realtors Association, there were 157 units sold in March, up from 110 units sold in February, and 147 units sold in March 2023.

Year-to-date numbers show 357 units sold in Red Deer so far this year, up from 343 units sold during the first three months of last year.

The average sale price in Red Deer in March was $351,220, up from $340,114 in February, and $333,211 in March 2023.

Meantime, the average number of days to sell a home in Red Deer last month was 40 days, up from 37 in February, but down from 44 days in March of last year.

For the entire central Alberta market, there were 484 units sold last month, up from 355 units sold in February, and 438 units sold in March 2023.

Year-to-date figures show 1,112 units sold throughout the region so far this year, up from 914 units sold during the first quarter of 2023.

The average sale price throughout central Alberta last month was $385,699, down from $389,583 in February, but higher than $336,056 in March of last year.

Meantime, the average number of days to sell a home in central Alberta last month was 51 days, down from 59 days in February, and 61 days in March 2023.
