Red Deer Public Schools board of trustees announce priorities for proposed 2025-2027 capital plan

Red Deer Public School’s board of trustees have announced priorities for the proposed 2025-2027 three year capital plan. Priorities include:

• The modernization of Oriole Park Elementary School, which would include full mechanical and electrical, architectural, and functional updates
• New Grade 6-8 school in northeast Red Deer for 600 students
• The modernizations of Gateway Christian School, Eastview Middle School, and Glendale Science and Technology School
• New Grade 9-12 school in northeast Red Deer for 1,000 students

The division’s three year capital plan must be submitted to Alberta Education no later than March 31

Red Deer Public School’s board of trustees are Nicole Buchanan (chair) Matt Gould, Dianne Macaulay, Bev Manning, Cathy Peacocke, Angela Sommers and Jim Watters.
