Rebels G Wutzke named WHL Goaltender of the Month

For the second straight month, Red Deer Rebels netminder Chase Wutzke is the WHL Goaltender of the Month.

Wutzke was twice named WHL Goaltender of the Week in January, helping the Rebels to a nine-game win streak that finally ended with a shootout loss on Jan. 31.

The Debden, SK product is also on a 14-game point streak, however, with a record of 12-0-1-1 over that span, stretching back into early December.

To start 2024, Wutzke went 8-0-0-1 with a 1.98 goals-against average and .929 save percentage, helping the Rebels go 10-0-0-1 in January to claw their way to third in the WHL’s Eastern Conference.
