Rebels This Week: January 22-28
REBELS RECAP
The Rebels were a perfect 3-0 on the week while running their season-long winning streak to seven games (tied with Everett for the longest current streak in the WHL).
SAT. JAN. 20 – Ollie Josephson scored late in the third period for his second game winning goal in as many nights as the Rebels edged the visiting Prince Albert Raiders 2-1 at the Peavey Mart Centrium. Kalan Lind scored in period one to run his point streak to five games. Chase Wutke made 26 saves on the night, including 14 in the third period. Prince Albert outshot Red Deer 27-18 and was 1-for-3 on the power play while the Rebels were 0-for-4.
FRI. JAN. 19 – The Rebels grounded the high-flying Medicine Hat Tigers for a 3-1 road win at Co-op Place. Kalan Lind had a power play goal and an assist. Ollie Josephson and Kai Uchacz (empty net) also scored while Chase Wutzke made 30 saves for the win. Medicine Hat outshot Red Deer 31-24 on the night and both teams were 1-for-5 on the power play.
