Trial scheduled for Red Deer man facing firearms and stolen property charges

A trial date has been set for a Red Deer man facing numerous charges following the seizure of a large amount of firearms, ammunition, and stolen property last fall.

Trent Fielder, 53, is scheduled for trial in Red Deer Court of Justice on June 25, 2024.

It was on Oct. 5, 2023, when the Red Deer RCMP Crime Reduction Team (CRT) executed a search warrant on a property in Red Deer County. Following the search, police say a significant amount of stolen property was recovered, which included multiple vehicles, multiple ATV’s/dirt bikes, firearms/ammunition, and a stolen passport.

Trent Fielder was charged with:

  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 x 4
  • Illegal Possession of Government Documents
  • Weapons possession contrary to order x2
  • Tampering with serial number of a firearm
  • Possession of a restricted/prohibited firearm with ammo without licence/registration
