Red Deer RCMP Crime Reduction Team recovers stolen property

A Red Deer man is facing numerous charges after local Mounties seized a large amount of firearms, ammunition, and stolen property this month.

On Oct. 5, 2023 the Red Deer RCMP Crime Reduction Team (CRT) executed a search warrant on a property in Red Deer County. Following the search, police say a significant amount of stolen property was recovered, which included multiple vehicles, multiple ATV’s/dirt bikes, firearms/ammunition and a stolen passport.

Trent Fielder, 53, was arrested and remanded into custody. Fielder was charged with:

  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 x 4
  • Illegal Possession of Government Documents
  • Weapons possession contrary to order x2
  • Tampering with serial number of a firearm
  • Possession of a restricted/prohibited firearm with ammo without licence/registration

RCMP note the investigation is still ongoing.
