Innisfail RCMP investigate shot horse

Local Mounties are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect after a horse was shot and killed in central Alberta last month.

On Nov. 29, 2023, Innisfail RCMP received a report of a horse being shot and killed overnight.

Police say the incident occurred near Township Road 353 and Range Road 255 in Red Deer County in between the town of Innisfail and Pine Lake.

RCMP say the investigation has revealed that the horse was killed with a single gun shot wound to the gut. The horse is described as a 2-year-old Grulla Colt, valued at $5,000.
